The holiday is fun but planning for a holiday is a tedious job, you have to do a lot of informative research and tie up many loose ends to plan a good holiday.  While Planning an International Holiday people are afraid of many things due to lack of enough information. Because none of us have time to read an entire Lonely Planet book surf the nets for hours, hence we go to Good Travel Agent or get relevant information.  This post is a long list of tips covering almost everything else you need to know. Visa for Dubai:

Getting there:
There are Many Direct and Indirect Flights to Dubai from INDIA. Indigo, Spice Jet, Air India, and the Premium Emirates Operates Daily Direct Flight from Different cities of India You can also fly on Etihad Airways into Abu Dhabi and take a shuttle bus or taxi one hour to Dubai.

Right Time to go For Dubai Vacations:
Dubai is HOT and Humid as such best time to Plan a Dubai Holiday is in the “winter months of Dubai”, which Same as India, the temperatures are cooler with highs in the 50s to lows in the 40s. This is from November to March; the weather has made this period as the peak tourist season. Dubai is costlier in this Season.

Like any other major city, Dubai is Infested with Many Problems; Traffic is one of them. There is also rush hour traffic on workdays of the week in Dubai (Sunday to Thursday} Dubai weekend days are Friday and Saturday. This affects the time it takes by taxi getting from one location to the next. Traffic is much lighter on the weekends.


Taxis: For the Cheap prices use the regular taxi and not the Luxury Lexus taxis. Check to see if there is a meter in the taxi.

Metro: Dubai has a very efficient and easy to use the Metro system. During the rush hour, this may be your best choice based on. During the week the trains run more often. You can Buy Tourist Pass Of pass.

Hop-On/Hop-Off Buses: This is a Better way to see Dubai and there are two options available. Starting Point for both are located at the Dubai mall for pickup and have different routes that it takes you to all the main areas. You can purchase a multi-day pass.

What to wear in Dubai during the Dubai trip?

Dress code is a Major Reason for stress for many people traveling to the United Arab Emirates. Tourists and ex-pats wear regular clothes.  You are expected to wear closed-toe shoes with pants or long skirts for ladies with your shoulders covered while dining in restaurants in Burj Khalifa and Burj Al Arab.

PDA in public: You could get arrested for public displays of affection while in Dubai. I later read that holding hands and a peck on the cheek is fine.

Money, Money, Money!

Dubai currency is called “Dirham” or AED for Arab Emirate Dirham. You can see it abbreviated ads Dhs or DH. The dollar bill denominations conveniently Displayed in Arabic on one side and English on the other side. There are coins as well. The current conversion is 1 Dirham equals Rs18. But again, once you can exchange money on arrival at the airport but you may get a slightly better exchange rate at the malls. And there are plenty of malls. In terms of credit cards, most places only take Mastercard or Visa cards.
Language Spoken in Dubai:
Most people were fluent in English. Hindi and Arabic and the street signs, menus, basically all the signage was in both Arabic and English. This made it very easy to navigate. You can live in Dubai by knowing Hindi Only.
Food &Alcohol in Dubai:
 Dubai is known for multi-racial cuisines and delicacies and anything you wish to eat you will find here. You Can try authentic Cuisine of  Malay, Asian, Thai including Indian and can see their influence on the local food in Dubai. Since Dubai is a Muslim region, do not expect to find pork to eat in the restaurants. Dubai offers plenty of seafood, lamb, beef, and chicken on Menu. Popular dishes include shawarma (sliced meat like a kebab), hummus, curried dishes, basmati rice, and marinated whole fish. Dates are also very popular food. It comes in many varieties and you will find date markets and fancy date shops in the malls. Try some with Arabic coffee. 

Alcohol: Alcohol is Not encouraged in Dubai but Tourists are allowed to drink at licensed hotels, bars and restaurants in Dubai. Your hotel fridge is fully stocked! However, you are not allowed to use alcohol in public, including on the beach. Public drunkenness is also not allowed. To purchase alcohol in Dubai, you must have a license. To get around this rule you may purchase alcohol at the duty-free shop at the airport
